Day by Day Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens: Arrival into Athens
Begin your trip in the Greek capital, arriving at Athens International Airport. Your driver will welcome you and provide private transport to your hotel in the city. Take time to settle in and refresh before heading out to immerse yourself in the daily life of the Athenians. You might try some of the strong Greek coffee at one of the outdoor cafes while enjoying some people-watching or stroll through the National Garden of Athens behind the Parliament building. This evening we recommend dining at one of the many rooftop eateries. If you arrive at dusk, you can watch an enchanting sunset over the city.
- Day 2
Athens: Private Guided Sightseeing Tour
This morning you’ll join our local guide who will provide interesting insight on a private tour that will take you back in time to ancient Greece. Immerse yourself in the 5th century BC on Acropolis hill while marveling at iconic landmarks like the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, and more. A visit to the Acropolis Museum follows, putting it all into perspective with finds from the hill and surrounding slopes, including artifacts that date all the way from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. Afterward, a panoramic tour by vehicle reveals many other top sights like the Roman Agora and Plaka district.
- Day 3
Milos: High-Speed Ferry to Milos
It’s time to head to the isles. Get ready to say farewell to Athens as you’ll take a private transfer from your hotel to Piraeus port to catch the ferry to Milos. Upon arrival, you’ll have a private driver waiting to bring you to your hotel on the island. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to immerse yourself in its beauty. You might simply enjoy the view of the Gulf of Milos, relax on the beach, take advantage of your hotel facilities, or wander through Adamas which sits along a large bay and offers many cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.
- Day 4
Milos: Island Tour of Milos
A full-day tour will allow you to get to know the beautiful island of colors with your own private guide. You’ll start with a visit to the famous Sarakiniko Beach, known for its smooth, white moon-like volcanic rock edging a vibrant blue sea, a stunning contrast that makes for an ideal photo-op. Other highlights include the Milos Catacombs which date from the 1st– to the 5th century, the site where the Venus de Milo was discovered, and a walk through Klima, a charming fishing village with colorful traditional homes. Conclude by taking time to enjoy a picturesque beach ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and other watersports.
- Day 5
Milos: Day of Leisure
Today is all yours to enjoy whatever you’d like while in Milos. If sailing is of interest, sailing tours depart from Adamas that include swimming around caves and enjoying a perspective of the landscape from the water. Or you might enjoy soaking in the natural hot springs the island offers while surrounded by awe-inspiring scenery. Plaka is just a few miles from Adamas and fun to wander through with traditional whitewashed homes and gorgeous gulf views from its hilltop setting. It’s also home to a fantastic archaeological museum that displays collections with items from the late Neolithic to Byzantine era.
- Day 6
Santorini: High-Speed Ferry to Santorini
Leaving Milos this morning, you’ll take a private transfer to the port, catching a ferry to Santorini. You’ll want to get your camera ready as you’ll be greeted with a dramatic sight of the caldera cliffs. After disembarking, our driver will be there to provide a private transfer to your hotel. Once settled in, you’ll have the rest of the day to yourself. Soak up the stunning views while enjoying a glass of local line or explore the shops, bars, and cafes that line the cobbled streets of Fira, the island’s capital. This is a great place to enjoy dinner with a sea and sunset view.
- Day 7
Santorini: Cooking & Tasting Experience
Delve into the island’s food and wine with a tour filled with delicious flavors and aromas. You’ll visit a winery for a taste of Santorini’s crisp volcanic wines and take a hands-on cooking class to learn how to prepare a meal island-style with fresh, local ingredients. Afterwards, enjoy the dishes you helped to make. After this memorable experience, you’ll get a booklet featuring the recipes to bring back home so that you can share a slice of paradise with your friends and family. There are few better souvenirs than new cooking skills that allow you to bring a little of the island with you.
- Day 8
Santorini: Sunset Cruise
Enjoy the morning to yourself, relaxing or doing what interests you most, returning by early afternoon for a grand finale. Those who like to hike won’t want to miss the trek between Fira and Oia that follows the caldera’s edge bringing fantastic views of the endless expanse of the sapphire waters. Afterward, you can look forward to a relaxed and unforgettable sailing experience. The semi-private trip cruises along Santorini’s cliffs, stopping to visit the Red and White beaches, the Venetian lighthouse, and other sights along the way. Enjoy stops for swimming or snorkeling, a BBQ feast that’s freshly prepared, and a glorious sunset.
- Day 9
Santorini: Departure
While goodbyes like these are never easy, it’s time for your trip to come to an end. This morning you’ll want to get your bags packed and ready as your driver will pick you up for a private transfer to Santorini’s airport after breakfast.
