The Old Town in Warsaw is a bustling hub with medieval buildings that were reconstructed after World War II and picturesque cobbled streets. Surrounded by 14th-century walls, it dates back to the 12th century, and at its heart is a lively square, Rnek Starego Miasta, and has been the center of public life since the 13th century. Today, it’s home to upscale eateries, cocktail bars, souvenir shops, and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The Literature Museum and the Historical Museum of Warsaw are here while the 14th-century St. John’s Cathedral which hosts concerts in the summer is nearby.

The Wieliczka Salt Mines is an official national historic monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site that transports visitors to a mysterious world of salt beneath the surface of the Earth. A spectacular journey will bring you to see four chapels and dozens of statues that were carved out of rock salt by the miners with new carvings added to the older sculptures by contemporary artists. Located in the town of Wielicka near Krakow, sodium chloride was produced there from the upwelling brine dating all the way back to Neolithic times. They were worked continuously from the 13th through the late 20th century.

Some of Europe’s most beautiful mountains, the Tatras are the only alpine mountain range in the country, forming the border between Poland and Slovakia. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the peaks are spread through both countries, featuring flower-filled meadows, lush valleys, brilliant turquoise lakes, soaring peaks, and miles and miles of scenic trails. There are over 170 located in Tatra National Park bringing the opportunity to discover glorious sights like the spectacular alpine lake called Morskie Oko and the tallest mountain in Poland, Mount Rysy. The park is also rich in flora and fauna with pinewood trees, colorful flowers, marmots, wild cats, bears, and wolves.
