      Edinburgh Arrival

      Your unforgettable tour of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities begins with your arrival into Edinburgh International Airport where our driver will welcome you to Scotland and provide a private transfer to your hotel in the UNESCO-listed area. After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. One of the best ways to beat any jet lag is to take a stroll outdoors. With cobbled streets, historic buildings, and lovely squares you’re perfectly situated for some relaxed exploring. We highly recommend a walk down Victoria Street, from the Royal Mile to Grass Market, with many local boutiques and tasty eateries.

      Lunchtime Old & New Town Tour

      Today is a day of leisure, broken up with the Old & New Town Tour at lunchtime to provide you with expert insight so that you can choose what you’d like to do most during the remainder of the day. You might enjoy a leisurely morning with a stroll along the Royal Mile before joining the walking food tour that will include what equates to a three-course meal with a drink, visiting the five different dining and drinking venues to savor the flavors of the local scene. Your guide will also make suggestions on other places to visit to help fill your afternoon.

      City Tour, Edinburgh Castle & Gold Whisky Tour

      Witness many highlights today on a half-day city tour, including a 12th-century village, Arthur’s Seat, grand palaces, and other spectacular architecture, with full commentary revealing stories behind the buildings. You’ll enjoy lunch in a historic pub before entering Edinburgh castle to marvel at highlights like the dazzling crown jewels, the oldest in Britain, and the medieval siege cannon known as Mons Mag. Enjoy a jaw-dropping panoramic view of Edinburgh followed by the Gold Whisky Tour to learn the story behind Scotland’s most famous product. View the whisky production process via a unique barrel ride, get a lesson on tasting and appreciation, and more.

      Full-Day St. Andrews Tour

      Travel to the medieval kingdom of Fife, with the highlight of St. Andrews, the birthplace of golf. You’ll see the Forth Bridge along the way, a symbol of Scotland and a UNESCO World Heritage Site completed in 1890. Following the coastal route toward St. Andrews, enjoy views of picturesque fishing villages and a short stop in the pretty harbor village of Crail. You’ll have three hours to take in the delights in St. Andrews which include the magnificent ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral, the University, and castle. You might enjoy shopping and a stroll along the white sandy beach next to the world-famous Old Course too.

      Highland Tour

      You can’t visit Scotland without seeing the Highlands. Today is dedicated to its many awe-inspiring sites, including meandering streams, cascading falls, glistening lochs, and towering mountains, covering around 240 miles. Some of the highlights include Kelpies, the giant metallic horse head sculptures representing Scotland’s mythical water horse, and a visit to Loch Callandar and Glencoe, one of the country’s most stunning places of natural beauty. An optional visit is possible at 14th-century Doune Castle which stands in for Castle Leoch in the “Outlander” TV series and a tour and tasting is another optional stop at Deanston Distillery. At Kilmahog, you can even feed a “hairy coo.”

      Edinburgh Departure

      After six nights exploring Edinburgh, St. Andrews, the Highlands, and more, it’s time to get your bags packed and ready. As they say, all good things must come to an end – you’ll depart Scotland today, but you can look forward to a leisurely morning that provides time to savor the beauty of the city before taking a private transfer back to Edinburgh International Airport.
