Designed by a German architect, the castle boasts a strong and striking architectural structure and is one of the tourist attractions in Bodrum that remains open during winter. It is also home to one of the Bodrum city museums, and perhaps the most unique of all, the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology.
