Day by Day Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival into Muscat airport
Your journey through the Highlights of Oman begins upon your arrival at Muscat Airport. Our representative will warmly greet you in the arrivals area and assist with your transfer to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You can choose to relax by the pool to unwind from your travels or start exploring the captivating capital of Oman. Muscat boasts a rich history spanning centuries, magnificent architecture, breathtaking landscapes, and a vibrant culture, offering an abundance of sights and activities to experience. In the evening, indulge in the culinary delights of Oman by dining at one of the city’s numerous restaurants, where you can savor the delectable fusion of Arabian, Indian, and Persian flavors.
- Day 2
Muscat: Private Guided City Tour
After breakfast, you will meet your English-speaking driver for a captivating tour of Muscat. Your first stop will be the renowned Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an architectural masterpiece blending traditional Islamic design with contemporary elements. Inside the mosque, you’ll marvel at the intricate artwork and craftsmanship while gaining insights into its cultural significance. Continuing your journey, you’ll drive along the Corniche, where you can explore the charming lanes of the Souq or relax at local coffee shops. Next, venture into the old city of Muscat and visit the Bait al Zubair Museum, which houses a remarkable collection of artifacts showcasing Oman’s history, culture, and traditions. After the museum, you’ll make brief stops for photo opportunities at Al Alam Palace and the historic Mirani and Jalali forts, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Finally, you’ll return to your hotel, where the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

Wahiba Sands: Transfer to Wahiba Sands with sightseeing enroute
You will set out early for an unforgettable journey towards the captivating Wahiba Sands. As you traverse the scenic route you will be mesmerized by the awe-inspiring views of the majestic surrounding mountains. Make a stop at the remarkable Bimah Sinkhole, known as the “House of the Demon” in local legends, where you can start your day with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Oman Sea. Journey through the enchanting Wadi Shab, a picturesque oasis adorned with traditional villages and lush plantations of date and banana trees, as you head towards Sur. On arrival, you will experience the age-old traditions of dhow making with a tour of a Dhow factory, observing the construction process of these traditional Arabian sailing vessels. Continue to Wahiba Sands, your base for the next two nights, and embark on a thrilling 4×4 safari to explore the golden dunes and witness a breathtaking sunset. This evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at the camp’s restaurant, and take a serene stroll through the dunes under the starry night sky.

Wahiba Sands: Private Desert Tour
This morning, after a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a journey towards the mesmerizing Wadi Bani Khalid. Upon reaching this enchanting oasis, you will have the opportunity to indulge in a delightful lunch, after which you can take some time to relax and unwind in this picturesque setting and take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the wadi. In the afternoon, you will continue your adventure, driving through the captivating desert landscapes. Along the way, you will make a stop at a Bedouin house, offering you a glimpse into their centuries old way of life. Next, you will head back to your Wahiba Sands camp, passing through Al Wasil Village along the way. On arrival you will have the afternoon at your leisure, with the option to book a camel ride for a captivating sunset experience or simply sit back and indulge in the serenity of the desert surroundings, and witness the beauty of the dunes.

Nizwa: Transfer to Nizwa with sightseeing enroute
Leave Wahiba Sands behind this morning, as you make your way towards Nizwa, stopping along the way at the charming village of Al Minsifah, where you can soak in the authentic Omani culture and experience the traditional lifestyle of the locals. After this brief yet enriching stop, journey on towards the magnificent Bahla Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historical significance and impressive architecture. Marvel at the grandeur of this fort and delve into the rich history that it holds within its walls before heading onwards. Also on the agenda before you reach Nizwa is a stop at the splendid Jabreen Castle, adorned with exquisite ceiling paintings and intricately carved wooden doors, where you will be transported back in time as you explore the fascinating interiors of this architectural gem. On arrival into Nizwa, spend the rest of the day at your leisure, free to explore this captivating city at your own pace.

Nizwa: Mountain Villages Tour
Today is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Oman. After breakfast at your Nizwa Hotel you will meet your driver and depart for your full day tour. Your first stop will be the charming mountain village of Misfah, renowned for its natural beauty and captivating atmosphere. You’ll take a leisurely stroll through the old town, exclusively reserved for pedestrians, and immerse yourself in its quaint ambiance. Your journey then continues on to Al-Hamra, an ancient clay settlement adorned with countless red brick houses. Here, you will visit the fascinating Bait al-Safah Museum, a cultural treasure that provides a comprehensive insight into the traditional Omani way of life. Next, you’ll proceed to Jebel Shams, where the awe-inspiring “Grand Canyon” of Oman awaits. After exploring at your leisure, head back to your Nizwa hotel for a relaxing evening before embarking on the next stage of your journey.
- Day 7
Muscat: Transfer to Muscat with sight seeing enroute
Before you head back towards Muscat this morning you’ll have the opportunity to visit Nizwa’s vibrant market with your guide to witness this remarkable spectacle that has endured for centuries, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural traditions of the region and also to explore the town’s majestic 17th Century Fort to immerse yourself in a bygone era of architectural grandeur. Following your enriching Nizwa tour, you will venture towards the charming village of Birkat al Mauz, home to one of Oman’s five UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Water Channel (Falaj al Khatmeen), you’ll take a leisurely walk through the lush date palm plantations, immersing yourself in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. On your arrival into Muscat spend the evening at your leisure.

Departure from Muscat
After 7 unforgettable nights, your private tour of Oman comes to an end. Enjoy one last breakfast before checking out of your Muscat hotel – your private driver will pick you up for a transfer to Muscat Airport.
