Xugana Island Lodge Overview

Located in the pristine Okavango Delta on an island that overlooks the lush Xugana Lagoon with its papyrus beds and network of serene waterways, guests at the Xugana Island Lodge can look forward to an incredible African safari experience. The area supports a remarkable diversity of wildlife that can be encountered on land and water, including the rare lechwe and semi-aquatic sitatunga antelope that are occasionally spotted on nature walks. Birdwatching is excellent year-round and there are common sightings of lion, hippo, giraffe, zebra and elephant too. The camp itself has lots of character with a traditional but comfortable style, including accommodation in spacious, raised chalets that are all en-suite with private viewing decks facing the lagoon. Guided bush walks, mokoro (canoe) excursions, and motorized boat safaris are all included. Meals include both local and international cuisine paired with South African wines, enjoyed in an open-air boma or an alfresco dining area.
