There is no one best time to visit Germany as there’s a reason to go in every season. You’ll need to consider your interests, special events, the weather, and crowd levels. The most pleasant weather is enjoyed between May and September, with average high temperatures ranging from 68 to 77 degrees. The tourist crowds are thickest in July and August, with May and the second half of September bringing good weather without being as busy. If you want to attend Munich’s Oktoberfest, it starts around the first day of fall and runs for two weeks, but can get very busy.
