Best time to visit Bhutan

Stretching from the high Himalaya to the north, to steamy jungles at the south, Bhutan’s climate is influenced by ever-changing terrain and has several distinct seasonal variations. Ideal periods to visit are spring and fall, when mild weather and clear skies make for perfect outdoor activities and cultural immersion. The hike takes around three hours up, and two hours down, and is moderately challenging yet spiritually rewarding, leading you through through lush forests to this sacred site, perched 900 meters above the Paro Valley.

  • Discover Dzongs

    These distinctive Bhutanese architectural complexes, found in every major town and valley, combine a fortress and a monastery. Typically constructed with stone, dzongs serve as religious, administrative, and defensive centers.
