    Day by Day Itinerary

    • DAYS 1-3

      Cape Town

Upon your arrival to Cape Town International Airport, your private driver will transfer to Cape Cadogen hotel. Take time to get settled in, relax, and then get re-energized by heading out to do some exploring. You will have three nights in Cape Town to take in as much of the city as you can. Some of the options we recommend include booking a city tour through Cape Town for a local insight into the history and the top spots to visit, and riding the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. From there you’ll get a dazzling panoramic view of the harbor, Table Bay, the city, Robben Island, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, and Devil’s Peak. Afterward, you might visit South Africa’s oldest building, The Castle, and then indulge in some more shopping and dining along the V&A Waterfront. With so much to do in Cape Town, you’ll need another day to enjoy it at your leisure. One of the most popular things to do is visit Robben Island. A tour will allow you to get a glimpse of what Nelson Mandela experienced when he was imprisoned here for 18 years. Another option is to enjoy wine tasting in the Stellenbosch Winelands or to join a tour of the scenic Cape Peninsula, home to a famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach and Africa’s most southwestern tip, Cape Point. Or, stick around the city to explore more from museums to colorful markets.

The animals roaming freely in the reserve include lions, white rhinos, cheetah, hippo, antelope, buffalo and more, providing unbeatable viewing and photographic opportunities. Be sure to bring your camera. You’ll have three nights/ days ahead to enjoy game drives in the morning and the afternoon, heading out with an experienced ranger in an open safari vehicle. Victoria Beachcomber, Mauritius

Return to the airport in Johannesburg this morning for your flight to Mauritius, located 2,000 miles off the south eastern African coast. This island in the middle of the Indian Ocean is filled with pristine white sand beaches, turquoise lagoons, lush forests, sugar cane fields, and volcanic hills while offering a wide range of activities. Take part in everything from mountain hikes to watersports and outstanding birdwatching. After your flight you might want to simply relax along the beachfront, at the pool, sip cocktails overlooking the bay or take advantage of the other facilities at your hotel. You’ll have the next 5 nights/ days to do as you wish. If you prefer to do nothing but sunbathe on the beach or laze around the pool, you can, although there are plenty of options for getting active. After many full days, now may be the perfect time to indulge in relaxation, perhaps spending time at your hotel spa. You might enjoy a decadent massage and a body treatment, for total pampering using the island’s own tropical ingredients. Enjoy some of Mauritius’ deliciously fresh seafood like lobster for dinner and then enjoy the clear night skies – one of the world’s best for stargazing.
