This 7-night itinerary gives you a taste of the jewel in Kenya’s safari crown – the Masai Mara. You will have a night in Nairobi, before taking a light aircraft plane into the Masai Mara National Reserve. Your time will be split between two camps, to give you a variety of locations, guiding and wildlife sightings. One of the camps will be located inside the reserve, the other in a private consevancy.

Days 2 - 4
Masai Mara National Reserve
You will be transferred to the domestic airport in time for your light aircraft flight into the Masai Mara. This flight is approximately 60-90 minutes and you will have stunning views from above. As you land on the airstrip, you will be met by your private guide and your safari will begin! You’ll spend the next 3 nights at Basecamp, enjoying a morning and afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara Reserve.

A day on safari starts very early – around 5.30-6am with a wake up call and a fresh cup of tea or coffee brought to your room. You head out on game drive from around 6-11am. You then spend the middle part of the day in camp, enjoying a delicious lunch, a relax or siesta at Basecamp. You will then head out again on an afternoon game drive from around 4-7.30pm, before sundowner drinks and dinner.

The camp itself sits on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve and to get into the reserve, you take a short boat ride over the Mara River and then as escorted short walk through the riverine forest. This location is the best of both worlds – it offers seclusion and an undisturbed area for accommodation, as well as being minutes from the most abundant wildlife area in, arguably, the whole of Kenya. Only guests who are staying in the Naboisho Conservancy are able to game drive here.

While they zip up tightly, you might want to keep them open as you never know when an elephant or another creature might pass.   Naboisho Camp Overview
  This beautiful safari camp is located just outside the Masai Mara National Reserve in a private conservancy called the Mara Naboisho. The benefits of being outside of the reserve is that, along with the much-loved game drives, you can also do night drives, bush walks and cultural experiences. Naboisho Camp is particularly good for families (children over 5 years old) as it offers family tents, and child-friendly safari activities like nature walks and animal footprint tracking. The 9 safari tents are canvassed but are sat under a large thatch structure which may make some guests feel more secure and protected. With an abundance of wildlife in the Mara Naboisho Conservancy – including big cats (lions, cheetahs, leopards), buffalo, elephant and much more – you will be guided between your personal text and the cosy main lounge and dining area.
Day 8
Depart
This morning you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast in camp before heading to the airstrip. You’ll then fly back to Nairobi, where you can enjoy a day room at a hotel in the city, or go straight to the international airport to fly home!
