With family roots in Kenya, it became a continent I have naturally gravitated towards. I’ve traveled extensively around East and Southern, working with luxury camps, guides, and rangers for over eight years. - Day 2
South Luangwa National Park
In the morning you will be transferred to Lusaka airport to fly into the South Luangwa National Park. Your safari guide will meet you at the airstrip (Mfuwe airport) and you will begin your safari through the park on route to your bush camp. As the safari period in Zambia is seasonal, and is best enjoyed between the June to October window, these bush camps are built for these months and taken down before the rains arrive in November.
- Day 3
South Luangwa National Park
From this bush camp, you can do a variety of safari activities including day and night game drives (in open-sided vehicles), and bush walks. Norman Carr was one of the pioneers of the walking safari and a few of the guides at this camp were trained by him, so you will be in the best possible hands.
- Day 4 - 7
South Luangwa National Park
This morning you will be transferred to Chinzombo Camp – the flagship camp of Time+Tide. This camp is one of the most luxurious in all of Zambia, if not Africa. It sits on the banks of the Luangwa River, and views can be enjoyed from the main lounge areas, your luxury tented suite, or your private vernda and plunge pool. This camp also sits in one of the most prolific game viewing areas, with regular elephant, big cat, wild dog and hyena sightings.
- Day 8 - 10
Tongabezi, Victoria Falls
After spending a week on a Zambia safari, you will spend a few days at Tongabezi Camp in Vitoria Falls. Because Zambia is a landlocked country, many people finish with Victoria Falls at the end of their trip instead of the beach. This gives you an opportunity to see one of the Natural Wonders of the World, but also relax in a lodge that offers nothing but exceptional service and accommodation. Tongabezi is a lodge further down from the falls, so while it still offers great accessibility, it provides a sanctuary of peace and tranquility.
- Day 11
Departure
This morning you will be transferred to Livingstone where you will connect onto your international flights home, or connect onto a flight to take you back to Lusaka.
