Day by Day Itinerary
- Day 1
Windhoek
Welcome to Windhoek! On arrival, you will be met by your private driver/ guide where you will then be transferred to your hotel in Windhoek. You will spend one night at the Weinberg, which is a centrally-located hotel and a comfortable spot to rest your head after your long-haul flight. The next morning you will start your safari in Etosha National Park.
- Days 2 - 4
Etosha National Park
This morning you will take a light aircraft plane to Etosha National Park, where you will spend three nights on safari. There are 12 national parks in Namibia, but Etosha is number one. A vast wilderness area covering more than 8,600 square miles. It’s a birdwatchers’ paradise during the wet season, including thousands of flamingos. During the dry season, all sorts of animals are attracted to its water holes, from lions to elephants. You will stay at Little Ongava, and enjoy morning and afternoon game drives with a professional guide.
- Days 5 - 6
Skeleton Coast Camp
You will fly from Etosha to Hoanib. Although both are very dry and baren, this landscape is very different from Etosha, and with less water readily available, there is an opportunity to see desert-adapted lions and elephants are among these incredible species who have adapted. During your time here, you will have a day excursion to the Skeleton Coast – an incredible and UNESCO World Heritage site and landscape, where the ocean meets dunes.
- Day 7
Johannesburg
Today you will say goodbye to Namibia, and take a light aircraft back to Windhoek. From here you will connect onto your international flight to Johannesburg in South Africa. You will spend a night here in a hotel in Johannesburg, before then flying on to the bush in South Africa.
- Days 8 - 11
Sabi Sand Private Reserve
This morning, enjoy breakfast in your hotel and the fly from Johannesburg to the Kruger National Park. On arrival, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your safari camp! For the next few days, you will enjoy game drives – both morning and afternoon – across the Sabi Sand Private Reserve. This reserve is particularly famous for its population of big cats like leopard and lion. Rhino sightings, buffalo herds and large families of elephant can also be seen here reguarly. This safari experience will be a contrast from the dry and arid landscapes of Namibia, and depending what time you visit, the Sabi Sand reserve may be dense and vibrant with vegetation.
On the final day, you will fly back to Johannesburg to connect onto your international flights home.
